About the Executive Board
Tanisha joined SISTUHS, Incorporated in the Fall of 2008 at Florida State University. She transferred her membership to the Tampa, Florida Professional Chapter in 2018 after relocating from her hometown Miami, Florida. Tanisha is a mother of two and is married to her high-school sweetheart. She is most passionate about family, traveling, self-care, and building relationships with like-minded women of color. Tanisha holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Florida International University), and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership (Capella University). She has been a leader in Human Resources since 2011 working in a variety of industries, including; retail, hospitality, telemedicine, finance, and biopharma. In her role today, Tanisha serves as the Tampa Human Resources Site Head for Amgen, Inc., a biopharma organization headquartered in California whose mission is to serve patients by transforming the promise of Science and Biotechnology into therapies that have the power to restore health or save lives.

With a deep commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community empowerment, Sharena has cultivated an impressive career spanning over fifteen years in human resources leadership. She is an expert in executive coaching, women’s leadership, change management, and strategic partnership, guiding individuals and organizations toward success.
Sharena earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal & Organizational Communication from the University of South Florida, where she first joined SISTUHS, Incorporated in the Spring of 2004. In 2022, she reactivated her membership with the Tampa, Florida Professional Chapter, reaffirming her dedication to fostering connections among like-minded women and serving her community. Beyond her professional and organizational commitments, Sharena values family above all.

Luegenia Sherriffe joined the Tampa, FL Professional Chapter of SISTUHS, Incorporated in Fall 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Molecular Biology and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
Luegenia avidly works to serve others in her community, not only through her patient focused career, but also through active community service. She strives to continually give back to the community by volunteering, helping to developing local leaders, and empowering others to be the change they want to see in the world. In her free time, she is spending time with her family, traveling, or catching up on her favorite books. Luegenia joined SISTUHS, incorporated because their missions and values run parallel with her own. Being a member has helped her professionally grow and develop and use those skills to serve others.

Morgan Welch is a creative individual with a passion for empowering women. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she has always been deeply connected to her African American culture. She graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland University in June 2014 with a BFA in Studio Art and a minor in Digital Media Art. In 2017, she earned an MBA with a focus in Marketing from Concordia University of Nebraska. Later that year, she moved to Tampa, Florida, where she began her professional career and launched her art business, Morgan Welch Art.
Outside of work, you can find Morgan singing, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, attending concerts, traveling, working out, or simply catching up on rest.
Morgan joined the Tampa, FL Professional Chapter of SISTUHS in Spring 2024 and now served as the chapter’s Public Relations Chair, contributing to the organization’s growth and online presence. Her faith in God and diverse background drive her commitment to uplifting both her community and SISTUHS.

Tori Smith, a Tampa, FL native, exemplifies leadership, service, and dedication within our chapter. Tori holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida A&M University and earned her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. She joined SISTUHS in Spring 2016 at FAMU where she served as Fundraising Chair. She joined the Tampa, Florida, Chapter in Spring 2021.
In addition to her impressive career, Tori serves as the Little SISTUHS Chair, where her leadership has been instrumental in expanding opportunities for our Little SISTUHS since 2022. She spearheaded the successful statewide college tour, providing our Little SISTUHS with invaluable exposure to major universities and colleges throughout Florida.Tori’s passion and dedication to uplifting young women make her a true asset to SISTUHS, Inc., and we are proud to celebrate her many accomplishments.
